Today I did this page and I say I was 7 but to be honest I'm not 100% sure, but somewhere around there! These were taken at a park in Prescott, AZ. The journaling isn't about the pictures, but about the fact that we now lived there.

Summertime
I'm so not loving this page!
There was a "splatter" challenge which meant we had to splatter paint somewhere.. I did it as my background but I don't think I used the right kind of paint and it came out so gloppy and weird! Well it's all downhill from there.
But oh well! This page is about our summers spent in Arkansas visiting my dad. Unfortunately I don't have many pictures so this is all there is!

Worlds Best Grandpa
Today I scrapped a page about my amazing Grandpa! When we were young, he was so good to us. He always spent time with us playing games or whatever we wanted. He waited at the table for me because I ate too slow and everyone else was done, but he waited so I wouldn't have to eat alone. He was a musician- he had a whole room full of instruments of all kinds. It was always fun at his house! That's what this page talks about.
He passed away in 2002, but we'll save that for another page.
I also did a card for one of my best friends little girl who's about to turn 4! Of course I forgot to take the picture before writing on the card! Oh well!Sunday, November 28, 2010
Kindergarten, First grade & more
I've been super busy lately, but there is always at least a little time for scrapbooking! I write this from my MILs house. I did all these pages last week some time.
This first one was for a "cutout" challenge. As you can see, I cut my dog out of the picture. I did it pretty quick style, but I like it. :)
Now going back in time to my childhood album. When I was 4-5 all my friends were boys! This first one was for a "cutout" challenge. As you can see, I cut my dog out of the picture. I did it pretty quick style, but I like it. :)
I was really excited about this page! I remembered that my Kindergarten teacher had put together a book for her students of all their work over the year. It included pictures, the Student Of The Week questionairre, progress reports, and much more! I was able to pull a lot of info, and all the pictures for this page!
I like the way this one came out because it's something I've never done before. With so many different patterns and the grid look & all. It started from a sketch but ended up pretty different.

Mother's Day 1990
I only got one page done today. Mother's Day 1990 when we took my Grandma on a plane tour over Sedona. I've been wanting to try this border technique. I took a hole punch to a blue peice of paper, about an inch in and punched away! Then I cut along the holes creating this edge.
Then I made my first attempt at inking. I dapped TP in an ink pad and dabbed it all over the blue border. It didn't come out exactly how I had planned, but it was my first attempt and it looks alright.
My first cards & some pages..
I recently decided to make a few cards! Since Christmas is on the brain, I did a couple Christmas cards first.
Then I did a thank you card and I like this one best. :)
And now the pages I did yesterday...
My 6th Birthday party.
My 6th Birthday party.
Some random pictures of me that didn't fit in anywhere else. I kinda like this page. :)
I did this one a while back but didn't have one of the pictures... which I do now so here it is. I don't love it. It was for a paper weaving challenge... the heart is woven.

Getting Caught Up!
Whoopsie! It's been a while since I've updated! I went about a week without scrapping because my Mom was visiting. But I've been back at it for several days now! So here I go!
This first one is from our October camping trip at Lake Mead. It was also for a challenge where we had to use something for the layout that started with each letter of the word "TURKEY." So I used Tape Underline Ribbon Kids Embellishment Yellow. I'm not totally happy with the page, especially the underlining, but it works!

Same camping trip, roasting marshmallows (the best part about camping!) Yummmmm!
I was real happy with how my title came out. I decided to use brads to hole the letters together, so here's a close up!
Same camping trip, tubing...
....and swimming!
And that got me all caught up with my current album, so I went back to my childhood album!
This was for a Sketch challenge. I'm new to sketches, and kinda like them!
This took a lot of planning, and I'm happy with how it came out!
When I lost my two front teeth! This was also for a monochromatic (all one color) challenge. It was fun to do, and I like it more than I thought I would!
This wasn't for a challenge, but I based it off a sketch because I couldn't come up with anything.
This one I also based off a sketch. When I was a child, our dog had puppies! They were so cute, I wanted to keep them!
I based this off a sketch too. I have a hard time with one picture pages!
My mom used to be in charge of fashion shows at Wal Mart when I was little, and she would put my brother & I in the shows. That's wha this page is about!
Now we jump ahead quite a bit. I needed to scrap for a button challenge one day but didn't have anything to scrap, so I dug up this picture (which would have gotten scrapped eventually anyway, I just try not to use originals) and used buttons as flower centers!
I'm totally loving buttons as flower centers, btw!
And that's it from me for now! Hopefully I'll update more often in the future!
